The fashion wars in Guild Wars 2 are very real. New gear in the game only comes in one of the five rarity options, the highest being Ascended. Since so many players already have exotic and/or ascended gear; new armour sets, outfits, and even weapons, are generally just transmuted to visibly appear however players want them to look.
As an FYI, the new stats are not available on stat-selectable exotic / ascended gear as of today. Only legendary gear at the moment. If you're getting EoD for Harbinger, then you don't need to wait for Ritualist gear to go on the TP, you can just obtain the gear yourself. It will also be cheaper that way.
Once you start crafting Ascended or Legendary gear youâll need Obsidian Shards. The best way to get these on mass requires an npc whoâs only accessible after the Straits if Devastation meta event. Go for Reaper elite spec from HoT, you can spend points you unlock from PoF in HoT elites too so don't worry. The cheapest way is to craft an ascended piece of a cheap stat e.g. shamans and then stat swapping it in the mystic forge. However, doing this on 6 pieces will require quite a few spirit shards which you may not have access to as a newer player. You can also get them from strike vendor (IBS), raids, pvp and WVW.
Use fractal attunement on one of the rings so you can equip both of them. You can pick up a second ascended accessory from the ember bay unbound magic vendor. Doing the return to living world achievements will give you 250 of the map currency. You can get an amulet from lake doric (your current map).
Fastest way to craft would be to stat swap armour/weapons in the forge to vipers. Also crafting expact prefixes is WAY more expansive than they need to be, so stat swapping from a core prefix to a expac prefix is often cheaper as well. IBS strikes and/or EoD strikes.
